Round Table Discussion

Topic: "Getting to the right place at the right time: how do we ensure that management sees the profit of timely involvement of statisticians in projects?” The Best Manager Award Winner and experienced ENBIS members from a variety of backgrounds are invited to offer their insight and inspiration on this topic. Among the issues that will be addressed: Do we focus on showing that statistics is needed, or on showing that a statistician is needed? How do we present results and to whom do we present them? What do we do when we are called in too late? How do we exploit successful projects? Should a consultant and a full-time in-house statistician adopt the same strategy to get to the right place at the right time?
