ENBIS-14 in Linz

21 – 25 September 2014; Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria Abstract submission: 23 January – 22 June 2014

For information on how to get to Linz please refer to the file with summary information among the attachments below. Please note that Austria is a member of the European Union and uses Euro as a currency.

Shuttle Service on Arrival

Due to the fact that Blue Danube Airport Linz is relatively small there is only a limited number of taxis available - especially on Sundays (not more than 4 or 5 taxis). Furthermore on Sundays there is no bus from the airport to the city of Linz.
To avoid queueing ENBIS-14 participants have the possibility to book a special airport transfer service. Bookings are collected to deploy the cars efficiently. If you have to share your car with other participants it reduces the cost of your transfer (see table of transfer prices below).
If you want to take advantage of this airport transfer service send an e-mail to helmut.waldl@jku.at and provide your
  • flight number
  • date and time of arrival
  • conference hotel

Your message will be answered immediately and your booking confirmed as possible.

The conference organizers pre-reserved a number of rooms in several hotels around the venue but can only hold them for a limited period of time.

Below you will find a Hotel Reservation Form. The reservation form should be completed by the participants and sent to margot.berger@jku.at. Mrs. Berger will book the rooms and get back to the conference participants with reservation details. Payment of the accommodation costs is to be done directly at the hotel.

In order to help participants choosing a hotel, a document is available with a table that presents the lengths and cost of the trips from the hotels to the conference venue. It also includes an annotated city map of Linz .

Parking lots are available around Johannes Kepler University, the conference venue, for 6 € each per day. Participants requiring parking tickets should contact Helmut Waldl at Helmut.Waldl@jku.at.
