nENBIS workshop 12 June a success
Author: Winfried Theis, Last updated 21-Nov-11 18:03
On June, 12, 2009, nearly 30 people gathered for the nENBIS workshop on "Statistics for Industrial Consumer Studies" in the Aula of Unilever Research and Development in Vlaardingen. They heard four highly interesting talks looking atConsumer Studies from very different angles. Pieter Musters from Philips allowed some insights to their way of doing consumer research, to really allow the consumers voice to be heard in their development. After that Jeroen de Mast showed how Measurement System analysis can be done for expert classifications. After half an hour coffee break with a lot of networking and discussion among the participants, Garmt Dijksterhuis promised to talk about where the data in the Foods Research within Unilever come fro, but actually looked more on which methods are really valid to learn about the consumer-product interaction. And finally Jan Willem Bikker from CQM showed what happens, if consumer variance cannot be modelled as block effects but the consumer product interaction has to be explicitly modelled.
After all talks lively discussions ensued. And the Afternoon ended with more networking while having a few drinks.
For those who did not have the chance to come to Vlaardingen, here is the link to the event homepage where also a link to the presentations can be found.
