Author: Ron Kenett, Created 12/04/2008 16:51
The "Father" of Quality, Dr. Joseph M. Juran, died at the age of 103 years, on Thursday 28th of February 2008. His famous "Quality Control Handbook" was first published in 1951, and five more editions followed with many other books and papers. ENBIS held a special session dedicated to the work of Juran in 2006 at the Wroclaw conference and several papers from this session got published in the ENBIS QREI issue distributed in ENBIS7 in Dortmund. ASQ has opened a web site where people can share comments and thoughts (http://www.asq.org/juran/comments.html). We all lost a great leader and influential thinker. He will continue to serve us as a benchmark for professionalism and innovative thinking.
