Abstract

The talk will cover current developments in official statistics production. The focus will be on the production of establishment statistics (that is, statistics over - or based on data about - companies, organisations, etc). Establishments pose interesting challenges for sampling, response process and estimation, which will be highlighted. Within the European sphere, there is emerging a network - European Network for Better Establishment Statistics - whose aims and current state of activities will also be presented.
