Abstract

In Sweden and in any other countries waiting time at the Emergency Unit is a big problem. A lot of efforts are made to make improvements. In this paper an improvement initiative, where the doctor meets the patients already in the triage room, is presented. The effects are presented and conclusions are drawn. In fact the queuing system represented by the Emergency Unit shows some interesting features to be discussed in the paper
