Abstract
The well-known Red Bead Game/Experiment (RBG) coined by Dr. Deming many years ago is being used all over the world as a good start to understanding the basic principles of statistical thinking by managers, workers, students, etc. After many years of using the RBG in its traditional form we found that several slight additions to it let us quite naturally introduce many very important notions of statistical thinking such as the understanding of two different phases of control charting and the understanding of the influence of uniformity or non-uniformity of data on the limits of Shewhart control charts (naming the most essential). The examples of data are presented as well as discussion about the audience where such enlargement is appropriate.
