- Abstract
- In this presentation I shall present some thoughts (and some advices) for communicating statistics to non-statisticians. This applies in particular to writing statistical texts, such as articles or books, but also to teaching statistics.
These thoughts are the result of many years of experience of communicating and teaching statistics to non-statisticians, and particularly in writing a book on statistics for non-statisticians (in Danish, English version is on the way).
I will try to present and discuss some “rules of conduct” for communicating statistics to non-statisticians. Some of these “rules” may seem trivial at first sight, but may need some discussion after all. Others will hopefully seem new and perhaps even untraditional!
