- Abstract
- Since the early 1990s, ISO/TC 69/SC 5 has undertaken an ambitious programme of standardization, often with more than a dozen substantial standards under development at any one time. That programme is now drawing to a conclusion, with 21 published ISO acceptance sampling standards. Maintenance of those standards will be ongoing, but the opportunity now presents itself to think about new work.
The current portfolio of ISO acceptance sampling standards will be outlined, with elaboration of points of particular statistical interest. This will be followed by a discussion of possible future acceptance sampling topics for standardization, beginning with ideas that have been put forward by ISO/TC 69/SC 5 committee members. Audience suggestions will be particularly welcomed, as they may provide a better idea of the acceptance sampling tools that remain in greatest need of standardization.
