Six Sigma for public services

Aims: Give a practical overview of Six Sigma; discuss why it is important, especially in Public Services, and review its implementation worldwide. The workshop will cover:
1) pros and cons in the public opinion;
2) what to look out for in education, social and health care and general government applications; 3) case studies and practical examples;
4) accreditation issues;
5) action plans and
6) continuing professional development.

Quality Assurance: The workshop is presented under the quality assurance of the ENBIS Academy. A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants.
Workshop trainers are:
Ron Kenett, Past President of ENBIS and CEO and Founder of KPA Ltd., Raanana, Israel. KPA has lead Six Sigma initiatives in the education, health care, construction, municipalities and government sectors. Ron was awarded in 1990 the Kaplan Prize for introducing Quality Management to the Israeli industry. He was also a special consultant to SSM health care system, the first health care organization that won the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award in the US and Professor of Operation Management at the State University of New York - Binghamton.
Shirley Coleman, C.Stat, Technical Director of ISRU, Newcastle University, UK, past President of ENBIS, co-chair of statistics in practice special interest group has carried out six sigma training in many sectors including public service, manufacturing, process and finance.
Ron and Shirley have offered in various occasions a special workshop on Six Sigma in health care. This workshop has an expanded scope and will be of value to specialists, educators and managers with different background and perspectives. No prior knowledge of Six Sigma is assumed. Some experience with process improvement will be an advantage.
